- Accumulator
- A single bet that links two or more individual selections; all must win for the bet to pay out.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap applied to a team to level the match, using whole or quarter lines to eliminate draws.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money you set aside for placing bets.
- Bet Builder
- A tool that lets you combine different markets from the same event into one custom bet.
- Bet Slip
- The digital form that lists your chosen selections, odds, and the amount you wish to stake.
- Cash Out
- A feature that lets you settle a bet before the event finishes, locking in a profit or cutting a loss.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes of a match, increasing your chance to win.
- Draw No Bet
- A bet that returns your stake if the match ends in a draw, otherwise you win on the chosen team.
- Each-Way
- A two-part bet consisting of a win bet and a place bet; you receive a payout if your selection wins or places.
- Edge
- An advantage you believe you have over the bookmaker's odds, often based on information or analysis.
- Free Bet
- A bonus that lets you place a bet without using your own money; any winnings are usually yours after meeting conditions.
- Handicapping
- The process of analyzing teams or players to estimate their chances and find value in the odds.
- In-Play
- Bets placed after the match has started, with odds that update as the game progresses.
- Juice
- The commission a bookmaker adds to the odds, usually a percentage that ensures they profit.
- Line
- The set of odds or spreads offered for a particular market in a sporting event.
- Margin
- The bookmaker's built-in profit margin, reflected in the odds being lower than the true probability.
- Market
- A specific betting option, such as the winner, total goals, or a player's performance.
- Moneyline
- A straightforward bet on which team will win the match, with odds shown for each side.
- Odds
- The numerical expression of how much you can win relative to your stake.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals, points, or runs in a match will be above or below a set figure.
- Profit
- The net amount you earn from a bet after subtracting the stake.
- Push
- When a bet lands exactly on the line, causing the stake to be refunded.
- Roll-Over
- A requirement to wager the amount of a bonus a certain number of times before you can withdraw it.
- Stake
- The amount of money you place on a bet.
- Void
- A bet that is cancelled and your stake is returned, usually due to a match being postponed or a rule change.
